At Strong Hearts Bun Rescue, we are passionate about giving pocket pets a second chance at life. Our dedicated team of volunteer carers provide loving, temporary homes for rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, rats, birds, and other small animals until they are ready to find their forever families.

We focus on rescuing pocket pets at risk of euthanasia or abandonment, particularly from pounds and shelters across metropolitan and regional Victoria. Often operating with minimal notice, we step in when facilities are overcrowded and these vulnerable animals have nowhere else to go.

Every animal in our care receives the highest standard of love and attention, including appropriate housing, enrichment, vet care, and socialisation. We believe that all creatures, no matter how small, deserve safety, respect, and a life free from neglect.

Strong Hearts Bun Rescue also promotes responsible ownership through education on proper care, desexing, and species-specific needs, helping ensure lasting, positive outcomes for both pets and their new families.
